I have had several years of fairly tight finances. I am very lucky to own a very small house ( I have a very big mortgage) and work full time but I work in a department that I have never really settled into (3 years in post) and I have spent the past year feeling that I am working very hard to pay the bills but can't afford much life around this. I do not have a partner, local family support and my ex partner cut our child off 5 years ago when we split due to his affair. In short, aside from a few friends and my (primary aged) child being very settled here I have nothing to tie me to this area.
I am not able to buy us a better sized house without making my mortgage unmanageable and I have spent an increasing amount of time thinking about trying to relocate (I would like to go to Yorkshire) but I am a bit scared! Has anyone done this? What were the best / worst things?
