Mattress recommendations for a disparate couple!?

I'm 5'4" and sort of medium weight. DP is 6'4" and ...bulky. muscular and a little overweight. We have a superking bed, which we may well replace at some point as it's a fairly elderly divan and we'd prefer a wooden frame one. However the biggest issue is the mattress.

I got a new mattress pre-DP about 3.5 years ago. It was a rather expensive spring and wool one but it now (already) has two divots in it where we sleep. Even if we rotate the mattress the divot stays put for a couple of days then just realigns itself. I think we'd both prefer something relatively firm, but due to me having curvy hips and being lighter I probably need something a bit softer... though I reckon a topper would cover that...?

So. Any recommendations? Emma have a sale on which would make a superking affordable but I'm not sure whether it would meet requirements after reading reviews.
Are we looking at more than 1k? The 1k I spent on the last one was painful enough.

Watching with interest as I am on the endless quest for the ultimate mattress which doesn't bloody dip! I have concluded a few things in my search:
All mattresses dip a bit after some time.
Natural fibres seem to be a bit worse for this, synthetic ones have more bounce-back.
Mattress in a box companies tend to be fairly pants overall. That doesn't mean they can't be nice, but they aren't super long-lasting and I probably wouldn't buy a another mattress which comes rolled up.

I'm currently considering a fancy latex one from a company based in London called Latex Sense. But I need to go there sometime to try them out. I hope you end up finding something good for you!

My DP prefers firm, i prefer soft (my hips / shoulder hurt on a firm mattress) but he’d just bought a new firm mattress when we got together 3ish years ago.. so I have a memory foam topper on my half. Messy solution but cheap and it works for us!

Firm mattress - we’ve just got a silent night ortho 1400. If it’s too firm add a mattress topper.

Zip and link

I have my half soft and squishy and DH has his a bit firmer. We love the line down the middle as it resolves all arguments about who is hogging the bed.

You can get zip and link or hybrid/combination mattresses which are one mattress with two different sides.

We got a latex one that we like. It is made up of three layers of differing firmness, and you can order the layers differently on each side. If that makes sense.

We got this one: https://unamattress.co.uk/product/organic-mattress-delux/. Expensive though :(

I have found a silentnight hybrid one that looks decent... do silentnight last well?
