Things you have found in a bag that you have bought second hand?

Found in a bag today that I bought.

What lovely or not so lovely things have you found in a bag that you have bought at a jumble sale, charity shop, car boot fair or Vinted etc?

My first thought was sad that it was negative, but maybe that was best for the woman - who knows?

A few euro in the pocket of a vintage Ski jacket I bought in a secondhand shop in the Nine Streets in Amsterdam. Still have and wear the jacket nearly 20 years later.

Not a bag, but I once bought a book off ebay, and when it arrived I found a pencil drawing tucked in among the pages It was signed by the author of the book, a well-known artist. They had signed the book as well.

Not a bag, but I bought a 1950s recipe book online and when it arrived it also contained lots of recipes, household hints and gardening tips clipped from wartime newspapers and leaflets - absolutely fascinating and worth far more to me than the £2.50 I paid for the book.

I found a tenner being used as a bookmark in a 50p purchase once. That was a nice surprise.

I bought a babyjogger pushchair on eBay, and when I took it apart to put the covers through the wash (my delightful child vomited all over it) I found a brand new raincover slipped in between the fabric and the backboard. I was properly chuffed as I was super skint. Pushchair only cost me £20 including delivery, so was an absolute bargain.

I found a hospital letter with lots of personal details of someones hospital appointment from several years before. I do hope they got to the appointment. I shredded the letter.

Years ago, I bought a very old (1930s) evening bag from Ebay, and it has the original owner's visiting card in the little inside pocket.
