Grumpy boss

My employer said to me the week before last that I could have the Tuesday after the Easter Bank Holiday off. She volunteered that. I didn't request for it off. She said that. Then yesterday came and she went back on that word almost as if she forgot what she said and dragged me into work today.
Came into work this morning and she's full of bad mood.

Sometimes is wish I could make a fist and ram into her face.

She has me booked for June for a schedule that is intense and gruelling. A 12 day schedule with 'split shifts'. Starting between 5 and 7 am until midday with a few hours off in the afternoon and then back on again in the evening. Only I did this before and she walked all over my mid day time off and in reality it was work all day from morning til night because she forgot she booked workers and I was then required to empty out a room and fill up a skip for the hours I was off. It was intense and exhausting.

I asked for two weeks off for August and all she said was 'hmm... But then she realised about June and gave me the weeks off because if she doesn't give me the time off I will likely leave her before June.

She's like this on and off.

She's seems to be stressed but jeez, stop taking out on me who's only here to help.

did you get it in writing? did you get your leave for today approved in writing?
Then - you didn't need to go in no matter what your boss wants.

You need to speak to your boss about your schedule. You mentioned they gave you your August holiday because they fear you will leave before June? You have all the cards on your side here. Your schedule isn't acceptable. How are they going to adjust it to acceptable levels? That is the question you need to put to them.
And take a different day (Friday or Monday next week) to make up for missing out on today.
