I saw this film when I was about 18 and now almost fifty years later I watched it again last night.
Does anyone else think when they ran off together and got on the bus that they realised they had made a huge mistake? Or is it just me !

If I was the Katherine Ross character, I'd not be running off with my mum's lover - gross and Jeremy Kyle worthy. I must admit, it's been done years since I saw this film though, so can't remember all the details.

Yes, the look of regret....

I first saw it years ago and still find it amazing. That last scene is so clever - the joy, then the realization of what lies ahead.....
