Pregabalin for anxiety - what dose?

I have just started pregabalin for anxiety which hasn't responded to ssris. I started on 75mg, had one great week where anxiety pretty much disappeared, then it came back so it was increased to 75mg twice a day, but after nearly a week once again the anxiety is creeping back in. I'm relying on my diazepam to get me through
If you are taking pregabalin for anxiety, can I ask what dose you are on and how you find it? Thank you.

When you first start taking pregabalin you feel euphoria. That's just an initial feeling. I would not expect that to last. This medication is highly addictive and difficult to get off. I'm not sure it's what you ought to be taking to be honest. Some parts of the UK have banned it for many illnesses.

  1. How and when to take Pregabalin

Pregabalin is a prescription medicine. It's important to take it as instructed by your doctor.

Dosage The usual dose of pregabalin is between 150mg and 600mg a day, split into 2 or 3 separate doses.
If you are taking pregabalin as a liquid, 2.5ml is usually the same as taking a single 50mg capsule. Always check the label.

Just giving a bump on this. Like the op, once I up the dose I’m ok for a week then the anxiety comes back. I’m wondering how long it starts to properly kick in? I read it’s 4 weeks?
