People picking hair or lint off me - it gives me the RAGE

Please tell me I’m not the only one.

I have a member of staff who will frequently lean over in the middle of a conversation and randomly pick a stray hair off my top (I have long hair)

It gives me the absolute fucking rage (maybe unreasonably). I was standing in costa the other day and another person (I do know them) behind me poked my label back down into my top. I wanted to scream don’t fucking touch me, it gives me the absolute ick

it can’t just be me?

OMFG!

DP does it to me.

FUCKING LEAVE ME ALONE!

I hate it. I move away.

I have no idea why I dislike it so much.

FourTeaFallOut · 11/04/2023 07:37

Yeah, hate it. It's rude.

I had this too with a colleague. No escape as she was in a neighbouring cubicle. It's horrible! Subliminally I felt it was a way of telling me I was unkempt.

I don't like it either but if I notice someone with a label sticking out or something in their hair I'll usually tell them. If they can't see it, I'll offer to remove it but would always wait till they said they were happy with that.

It doesn't give me the rage but I do get irritated by people (who I don't know very well) randomly touching me.

Aah, I like it - it makes me feel "cared for" but I don't do it to anyone else.
