Trying to buy a car

but confused by all the models, in particular, the Audi Q Range.

Does anyone know the difference between the Q1 - Q5? Is it just size?

Also the Mercedes 4x4 range, so bloody confusing. There's a GLA, GLE, GLC? Again, is it just size? Some seem to be estates.

Of course, Ive googled but all i get is sale adverts or links to the manufacturers website which youd think would help but doesnt.

Hello,
I had Audi Q3 two yrs ago which is smallest of their SUV range. The q5/q7 are much bigger. It was an excellent car and I forever regret to selling it.
Im also myself confused as have Mercedes A class now and upgrading to GLA, which seems to be a much bigger, this rather makes me nervous as the reason we got rid of the Q2 was to get a smaller car hence Mercedes a class but now again getting a bigger car.
The dimensions seems literally same plus minus 2cm difference but I don’t get how a such optically much larger car is supposed to be the same dimensions as the smaller one ( only a bit taller)

It’s madness isn’t it? Like they want to make it as difficult and time consuming as possible.

Maybe visit the dealerships so you can see all the cars side by side and ask the sales people?

I'm guessing you've seen this or similar?

I've had an Audi sq5 and a rsq3 and I preferred the sq5 because it had more space. I think it depends what spec you get as well, you'll have the black edition, s-line etc. This link might help make sense of the differences and it shows other cars in the same range.

Yes, Ive looked at all those as well as going to dealerships.

The sites have filters which don’t work, so you end up getting served up cars you’re not interested in.

When visiting dealerships, there’s never anyone available as theyre all with people. Ive tried booking but available slots are always mid- morning on a week day and I’d have to take a day off work.

I know I deserve the world’s smallest violin but why is the process such a pain in the arse?

Carwow’s website and YouTube video has some great comparisons content. I got my Volkswagen after watching the review.
