Holiday- neighbour noise

We are currently in holiday staying in a holiday cottage. There is seriously loud noise from the house next door which means we can’t use one of the bedrooms and have barely been able to use the sitting room. Currently I can hear a lot of whopping and screeching. Would you contact the holiday cottage owner? It is so bad we are thinking of leaving early.

Please do let the owner know. We had this in an Air bnb cottage a couple of years ago. It was absolutely unbearable and we told the owner, she was pleased we did. We also got a partial refund.

There probably isn’t much the owner can do. If it’s just tonight, I think I’d grit my teeth and ignore it until about 11pm then go and knock on the door and ask them to quieten down.

If the noise is going on every night you’re there then I’d discuss it with the owner.

@Pringleface it has been every day since we arrived and not just at night. Every time there is a scream or shout out dog jumps up as he thinks someone is in the house.
