Experiences of weighted blankets (for adults)

I am having terrible trouble with restless legs and poor sleep in general lately. Have spoken to GP, having blood tests, etc so I am trying to sort it. Was in Home Bargains today and they had a weighted blanket so I bought it in the hope it might help as i am getting desperate. Anyone got any positive or negative experiences, generally and especially with restless legs?

I use one but not for rl. Find it comforting but not life changing.

For restless legs, give high strength magnesium a try. It is also good for sleep in general. Seemingly many people are deficient but it isn’t often tested.

DM likes her weighted blanket, she says it’s like a hug, but she doesn’t have RL.

I love mine and yes it helped my restless legs. I've suffered with it for years as well as some hip pain and my weighted blanket helped with both. Not gone completely and I still had rough nights (now on HRT which has also helped) but it improved a lot. I've had it for two years and LOVE it.

What ModeWeasel said.
It was very comforting when I was alone in lockdown, and was missing human contact but I don't use it much now.

I do take magnesium and it was helping to a point but not so much any more.
I'm wondering if perimenpause...I have RL, trouble sleeping, tingly hands, weight gain, sudden hot moments. I have follow up appointment with GP next week.

I love mine. Bought from ikea, single and 8kg. Tried others and found this one to be the best. I sleep like a log now and actually look forward to going to bed now.
