Hi, I am a first time home owner, I am visually impaired, the property is in Greece, and I am going through a really hard time just getting used to everything.
I know, one day at a time, but I’m just feeling so stuck at the moment. What you can’t see from the pictures is the two floor to ceiling windows, to the left of the fireplace you have one, and the wall in front of that corner with the bright window also has a floor to ceiling window. It is very very bright. Keep in mind that yes, grease gets very cold during the winter, it even snows. I love bright, but I also like functional and cozy.
it’s important not to have anything in the middle of the floor, I move around very quickly, and I love dancing, gymnastics etc. I have a lot of energy. I was thinking I could also put some of my exercise equipment if I can find where to order it in the living room. I really would like to get a bike and a treadmill. I hav A bookshelf that is about 1 m across by 1 m 90 high, it’s wood, like a dark wood I’d say. I also ordered a folding wooden table with a wicker chair, just because I’m still unsure how to decorate my place and I need it somewhere to use as a table in my living room.
i’m not sure what color to choose, I would love some beanbags, a nice rug, but I don’t know how to set it up and place things.
Also, what color curtains could I use with this room? Bearing in mind the color of the sofa. I have also ordered an arm chair that is almost the same color. I don’t want to overcrowd the room with furniture and again, it needs to be functional as well because I am nearly totally blind.
I use a lot of reading equipment, and very bright lights at night that need to be plugged in. There is a plug behind the sofa, there is also a plug on the right hand wall next to the fireplace, there is also a plug if you’re looking at the photo and see the mirror, there’s one on the wall outside the bedroom, and another one on the wall outside the bathroom. I could always get an extension cord, but I am slightly hesitant to put too many plugs in the extension cord because Greek homes can have not so good wiring. I don’t want to blow the fuse
