Any other dieters had a total day off today?

I'm on Slimming World and got my 1 stone award this week. Today I went on an absolute chocolate rampage and now I feel awful! Have also had a hot cross bun, couple of glasses of wine and a full roast dinner. It's weigh day tomorrow. Eurgh. I know I can get straight back on it and everyone deserves the odd day off, but I can't help feeling a bit annoyed with myself!

I weighed yesterday morning partly for this reason. Yes there has been chocolate today, there won't be tomorrow or for the rest of the week, but today I very much enjoyed it.

You can't be perfect every single day, so just start again in the morning and let today be in the past.

No chocolate for me this weekend. I'm better off having none at all. Did have a hot cross bun though.

I have had chocolate today (but those little eggs ) and meat and veg (but had a glass of wine and now on gin liquor)

but yesterday I had no syns at all and back on plan tomorrow - it’s so hard everyday
I’m 30 lb down since the autumn

I don’t know why people continue to post this self-flagellating diet stuff on here. MN is awash with pro-eating disorder posts.

Your post is exactly the reason I stopped doing SW. The all-pervading terrorism of the weekly weigh in and the clapping like seals when the leader announces that someone lost 1lb. The sheer joylessness of it all.

So you ate some chocolate today and enjoyed your day. So what? If you live a healthy lifestyle (and not the kind MN approve of) on another day you exercise more and eat less and it all balances out.

Stop looking for condemnation from the MN eating disorder obsessives as a way of punishing yourself.

I don’t think anyone is trying to upset anyone here at all. The weekly weigh in and support to eat more veg and do more exercise is helpful to be honest. I don’t stay for meetings but I do find the weigh in essential.

I'm doing fasting based on my hormone cycle. As I am in the week before my period I am not fasting more than 14 hours so will eat about lunch time tomorrow.

It's one day, it doesn't matter to me in the grand scheme of things. I've had lots of food but it's about consistency over time.

Once my period starts I will lean into keto and a 17 hour, 24 hr and 36 hr fast within the first 10 days of my cycle.

It works for hormones and means different things apply at different times of the month. It's fascinating.
