Good Morning Mumsnet! Happy Easter! What are you all doing with the day?

I'm drinking my first cuppa, listening to the wood pigeons cooing away & watching the little birds flit about from the smaller tree in my garden. Everyone else is asleep & it's bliss!

I'm going to finish my peg people, and carry on with my crochet today - I decided yesterday I'm going to finish one off before I start another.

My dad's likely to pop round at some point but as yet no idea when 🤷‍♀️ He only ever stays for a cup of tea then heads off.

No idea what the girls are wanting to do, probably not much. I will get them to help cook a roast chicken later though. I haven't made one in 4 weeks and really fancy it even though I probably won't manage much of it.

What about all of you? 🐰

Dog walk, roast shoulder of lamb for lunch, some chocolate eating. Generally a pretty lazy day. May watch a film or play a board game later.

Also enjoying a (second) cuppa in absolute silence. I can hear woodpigeons too but I'm not their friend today, after their 6am wake up call!

Roast later and mooching in the garden. Hoping that the teens aren't going to moan when I say they're too old for an egg hunt 🙈

@daffodilandtulip I apologised to my two teens last night for the lack of egg hunt and mysteriously appearing decorations this year - I just haven't got the energy to stay up and do it atm 😢. Neither was remotely fussed but I am a bit sad about it.

Morning all! I was up early to have my tea in peace in the sunshine in the garden ☀️

We are Christians so church this morning and apparently there's an egg hunt in the church garden.

Got a few Easter crafts for DC to do this afternoon then it's a roast for dinner. Just the 6 of us today as saw family yesterday and will do tomorrow.

Well deserved bath and glass of wine this evening!

Morning. Not much planned today had a busy day yesterday doing jobs in the garden, washing and hoovering the car etc so fancy a lazy one today.

Dh is away up the hills for a walk he will be back later. Ds is going to his grans at 12 so thats me on my own. Its a beautiful day here so think I will read in the garden once I'm back from dropping ds off.

Maybe a glass of wine and a bath tonight 🤔

We're on the road to see DH's mum who is v poorly. Not the most fun Easter day but she will hopefully be pleased to see us.

We are staying in a nice hotel to make it a bit more of a holiday and ds is fully loaded with Easter eggs

Going out for lunch with family, followed by a walk on the beach and coast path.

There will be 12 of us. Looking forward to it.

I’ve had coffee in bed and then got up and sorted the five kids and DP out breakfast and tidied round the kitchen. DS1&2 have gone to their dads now and DP is dropping his kids and their friend back now.

when he’s back we’re off with the dog to my sister’s in Camden for a walk through Regent’s Park and then a pub lunch.

Cheese, crackers and red wine at home if we get peckish this evening.

Diet starts tomorrow as we are best man and bridesmaid at a wedding in a couple of months and both want to look a bit slimmer by then!

We’ve just had a flying visit from my brother and his family, swapping Easter eggs for the kids. DD and DP are now at the park, where, apparently, DD has just thrown up due to Too Much Chocolate. I’d like to say that’ll teach her, but I suspect it won’t. 😁

It’s a perfect, sunny day. I’m enjoying pottering in a lovely, quiet house.

I was woken at 5am by my 10yo, it's just us two as all family are overseas so I felt a bit sad about not having the big lunch etc as he probably wouldn't eat half of it.

We went bowling at lunchtime and I've read on the sofa while he plays games.

We called all the family this evening which was so nice but makes me which we had gone to visit.

Pottering about and then out for roast dinner later.

Just done an Easter egg hunt for the kids on the street , that felt nice as 9kids joined in and it was lovely to see how excited they were .

that’s the extent of my plans for today!

hubby is about to do bacon and egg 🍳 and I’m going to put call the midwife on

Dd is sleeping at a friend's they were at a concert in Manchester last night. Ds and dh are still in bed asleep I'm curled on the sofa with the dog, going to dad's for sunday lunch at 1 feeling a little sad that the days of Easter egg hunts are over

We've had an Easter egg hunt in the house with DS(12) and DS(6). Both are having chocolate for breakfast. DH has had toast and I've had crumpets.

I've hoovered the kitchen and put our bedsheets in the wash, DH is doing some ironing. DC are getting dressed. We are going to my parents for lunch so need to go and get ready!

My children are coming! Not often we're all together. There will be 7 adults and 6 grandchildren.

It's going to be manic - I've no idea why I've cleaned and tidied as it will be a bomb site afterwards.

I have 13 bunny ears headbands at the ready.

H is hiding eggs in the garden as I type. He'll probably go overboard and no one will be able to find anything. The local wildlife will have a feast.

quiet day here ds and dd are working and dh is away dog sitting so it’s just me at the moment. Going to potter round the house take the dog for a walk then me dd and dh are picking up dm to go for a roast at dsis
ds will be finished work around 8 pm so need to pick him up then the dc need to pack as they are going to Venice early tomorrow morning with dsis

Not much different to normal, finish making some silver leaves, eat chocolate, DD has her riding lesson, probably wash the car. Seeing family tomorrow so we'll do the big meal then.

The roast is cooking, DH walking DDog, I’ve done a load of washing and hung it out (that probably condemns me to everlasting hell🙄), spent an hour pottering in the garden doing a bit of weeding.
Now having a quick coffee and wishing the sun would come out; it’s cold and grey outside.
Enjoying peace and quiet.

Easter lunch with MIL coming round, egg hunt for DC in the garden afterwards. I'll break open my egg this evening when DC are in bed so I get to eat it all myself!

@Twinedpeaks I'm still not right after (what I thought was) a vomiting bug picked up at work. I'm getting there, but veeeery slowly & rattling like a pill bottle with lanszoprazole & antibiotics from the GP 🙂

I've had a wonderful Holy Week in my favourite city. Had to get home this morning to pick up cats from Cattery. Now sat in costa on my own feeling a bit sad and lonely.

I've had flu for two weeks which subsequently turned in to chest and ear infections and vertigo so Ive been on the sofa trying to stop the room from spinning, whilst lovely DH has made the big lunch. All four kids now outside playing badminton in the sun whilst my dad and I sit in front of the masters golf. I'm gutted tbh, as I love Easter but I've had to sit this one out mostly.
