London theatre tickets.....risk a last minute buy?

I'm taking dd to London in the summer, mid August. She'd like to see Frozen or Lion King, dare I try to get cheap tickets on the day, or shall I pay the expensive prices now for peace of mind?

I have a feeling that kids theatre month is in august so kids tickets are cheaper then anyway ? Search online

Just buy them now. Your going at peak season.

Sign up to todaytix they often have flash sales on shows for 24 hours. Kids week is august but you need to be careful - sometimes they are not the bargains they appear as they have hiked up prices to discount them.....

I would look on seat plan for reviews and cross reference to the prices to see if you can find some reasonable seats - restricted views are not always that restricted.

I'm quite fussy where I sit so I often will book in advance.

I often buy tickets in the day via TodayTix - they often have tickets for Frozen available. However I don’t think I would risk it in August and would as already has been mentioned buy kids week tickets.
