No but nothing wrong with it

SockQueen · 08/04/2023 13:07

Not so far. We usually go on an Easter egg hunt/trail somewhere like a country park/NT property, but I'm not big on the Easter bunny as an entity so we've not bothered.

sometimes the Easter bunny is at an Easter egg trail

I don’t make a special effort and never have. Id go to an Easter egg hunt I guess but wouldn’t make a trip just to see a bunny.

DinosaurOfFire · 08/04/2023 13:26

We don't "do" the easter bunny so no. Do you mean like kids go to see Santa? We do celebrate Easter but all the eggs etc are from us and the kids help us pick them out for people.

Purpleskies46 · 08/04/2023 13:29

Dinosaur- yes like seeIng Santa

No we’ve done a few trails but every Easter bunny I’ve ever seen has looked like it’s straight from a nightmare.

Also we don’t do the Easter bunny at home, we just give eggs and do a little egg hunt and we get the cred. Starting to think maybe they’ll question it and this question Santa now 😄 waaah who let me be a parent!! Worked for me as a kid though.

gemloving · 08/04/2023 13:31

We don't do the Easter bunny, so no.

TheChosenTwo · 08/04/2023 13:33

No, never have done. also not done a trail anywhere. I have enough to do in my life without trying to whip up excitement in a teenager in a bunny costume! Never queued up to see a Father Christmas either 😂

RitzyGlitzy · 08/04/2023 13:38

No, but we've gone to egg hunts and when DC1 was in playgroup the Easter bunny judged the Easter bonnet contest and terrified most the children.

riotlady · 08/04/2023 13:40

Nope, didn’t know it was a thing! We do an egg hunt in our garden though

ComeTheFuckOnBridgett · 08/04/2023 13:43

No

ForestofBears · 08/04/2023 13:45

No. We might go somewhere like an egg hunt and the Easter bunny might be there, but I wouldn’t make a special trip to see it like I might make a trip to see Father Christmas.

I suppose they might be but I've not come across it so far at the places we've visited. It wouldn't be something that would encourage me to go there!

SunshineGeorgie · 08/04/2023 14:53

No

Never heard of this...please tell me it's not a 'thing'!?

unclebuck · 08/04/2023 15:02

No, I did take DS to 'meet' Miffy at an Art gallery once and he cried soooooo much. It transpired he'd quite logically thought she would be small, like a rabbit and not a massive human sized mouthless rabbit with starring eyes. Poor boy.

Alighttouchonthetiller · 08/04/2023 15:06

The Christmas-ication of Easter continues....🙄

Time was, an egg or two from relatives was enough. Now amid all the crappy 'Easter trees' and landfill tat are we going to be beset by Easter Events, with frantic mummies starting booking tickets in July for a 'light and song experience with the Easter Bunny and her friends followed by a Bunny Brunch' etc.

It's horrible.

SunshineGeorgie · 08/04/2023 17:21

It's Easter not bunny time!

Just an excuse to get gullible parents spending money on crap!

dizzydizzydizzy · 08/04/2023 21:19

There was a person dressed up a bunny at a Build a Bear party we went to once. My DD who was about 5 at the time was terrified. Don't know why.

mindutopia · 08/04/2023 21:23

No, it’s a bit creepy. That said, I’m not sure they’ve ever been to Santa’s Grotto either. It’s just not really our scene.

AliasGrape · 08/04/2023 21:28

I noticed there was a ‘Breakfast with the Easter Bunny’ event on at the Garden Centre near us in the same way they’ve done the Breakfast with Father Christmas for years. First time I’ve noticed them do it for Easter, and not something I’d do really just because of the cost.

I’ve nothing against the Easter Bunny particularly but it’s not a tradition I’m especially keen on getting into with my toddler. She’s picked it up from somewhere though (Bluey, it’s from Bluey) and has been talking about it all week!

I’m all for people celebrating however they see fit though.
