Please!
I've been in refuge with several children since November (while exH chills in the family home) and I've coped okay until now with that but now someone has stolen the spare key to my car and they've been back twice to try to steal it. I'm getting really anxious about staying here now, when the kids should be safe in their beds in their village home where all their friends and schools are!
I'm wondering about an Occupation Order. BUT. We're currently classed as homeless and on the housing register, band 1. There just aren't that many 4 bed houses that come up and the last two we didn't get because they had adapted bathrooms which we don't qualify for.
If I managed to obtain an Occupation Order, it would only be for 6 months or so. What would happen to my homeless application? Would we be moved down a band and be even less likely to be offered somewhere? Then what would happen when the occupation order expired?
