You kindly let me sit down on the crowded train at your table.
Thank you for letting me chat to your 4 year old. I have teens now. One nearly leaving home. I miss the days when they were little and I don’t have much contact with younger children anymore.
It was so lovely for me to chat with your son. Smile at your baby. Play 0s and Crosses, super hero drawing games with your 4 year old. You trusted me to keep an eye on you baby when you popped to the loo with your 4 year old.
Thank you. It really made my day.

This is so nice- I bet the mum is buzzing too because those journeys can be hard with littles!

You're the passenger we all wish we had on a journey with young children op. You probably made their day as much as they made yours ❤️

How nice! I bet she was telling her partner / friend about the amazing lady she met on the train who gave her a break.

Her son will remember it too - talking to people on trains is a great habit to build.

Awww, lovely

About 7 years ago I had a letter handed to me by a conductor from a stranger who admired how I’d handled a very difficult train journey with two little ones. I still think of that lady often.

I hope the mother in your post sees this thread.

I had a smashing chat with a gorgeous (approx) 12 month old baby in the supermarket queue yesterday and got a lovely thank you from his mum for keeping him amused while she packed the shopping for my trouble Smile My DC are also teenage OP, it's a treat being around little ones again isn't it, made me a bit broody!
