Where could it be...

3 weeks ago I fished a very sentimental ribbon out of a box in the loft to go around my son's christening cake. It was cross-stitched by his grandma to be used on DH's christening cake as a baby and we also used it on eldest DS's christening cake 4 years ago. Particularly sentimental this time around as DS doesn't fit in the family christening gown so it is the only heirloom we had to use.

It was in the kitchen cupboard. Ready to go. I saw it when I reached in there for the birthday cake decorations two weeks ago.

Cake is now made. Christening is in the morning. You can see where this is going. The ribbon is nowhere to be found.

Anyone's spidey senses tingling? Any ideas at all? The house has been turned upside down and I can only conclude it has been swept into the bin. I am gutted.

I agree, it's been binned

Could it be in a drawer? Dressing gown / housecoat pocket?

Stuck under the bottom of a tin, packet or container?

Did it have a sticky patch from old sellotape? Did it stick to the underneath of the box of cake decorations?
