I am technologically clueless. I have a smartphone and can work the Internet, but I have no concept of all the gadgets you can get these days, or what the benefit of having them is. We dont have Alexa, for example, or a ring doorbell. For example, I'm staying with a friend and she has a device which she uses to turn on all the lamps in the living room, not the main light, just the ambient lighting. This has blown my mind. We are doing a house renovation and I'd really like to know what sort of things I can have as I simply don't know. Any ideas welcome.
