Help me identify this group/song

A Scots all female singing group in the 80s. They played no instruments. A "one hit wonder". All we can remember is that the video of the song had them singing, for some reason, on the wagons of a stationary goods train.

Can anyone Identify either the group or the song?

A mate of mine worked where they filmed it and we are being driven crazy trying to remember who they were!

Are you sure they were scottish? Roughly how many in the group. What kind of music? where was the location where the video was filmed?

Riverlee · 07/04/2023 19:19

The Corrs? (Although had more than one hit)

Irish, not and all girl band, played Instruments, in late 90s, never had a video on a goods train. Boney M?

Clearly I was joking to emphasize how wrong The Corrs was.

I’ve just googled and found they were from Birmingham. They alto played instruments 🙄

the80sweregreat · 07/04/2023 21:41

No idea, just placemarking

@FitAt50

Apologies, tone is difficult to read sometimes. Grin

My first thought for some reason was The Boothill Foot tappers, although they're from North London.

TitsInAbsentia · 07/04/2023 21:57

I can't think of any Scottish all girl groups!

Bookbeb · 07/04/2023 22:51

it doesn't fit your criteria necessarily, but it's not this video is it?

That was filmed on the bluebell line in East (or west can't remember!) Sussex so op..where does your friend work? Might be easier to google music videos filmed there?

LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand · 08/04/2023 13:46

Fran and Anna? Two women who were ahem rotund, in mini kilts and definitely cheesy Scottish singers

Minerbee · 08/04/2023 13:56

The twinsets?
