surely it's easter eggs??

Easter chocolates hidden in plastic eggs around the garden. The Easter bunny likes to shop at Aldi and get a good variety of eggs, chicks, lambs etc 😉.

I got a packet of 16 mini Lindt bunnies to hide around the garden (or house if it’s cold/wet) with a grand prize of a huge dairy milk egg and two smaller eggs. The Easter bunny normally leaves an initial clue about what to hunt for as that’s all the reading my child will do! (He’s so stubborn that he’d rather not participate than have to read!)

That’s more than enough chocolate for one child in one week!

Easter hunt from us in Garden. Easter bunny brings a big chocolate bunny and a few little hollow animals for their Easter baskets. Sometimes leaves some jelly carrots.

I gather the rabbit was in art historically to do with the Virgin Mary bringing new life.

Chocolate eggs, a little Easter shaped tin with more chocolate eggs & eggs filled with sweets. I had planned on little wind up Easter toys, bunny’s & chicks but my 5yo found them so they now already have them.

Easter eggs & an Easter basket each with a bunny,a craft & a book oh & I got hot chocolate eggs with marshmallows in them as my 5 year old loves a hot chocolate lately 😀

When children were smaller we did a massive egg hunt with clues and bunny footprints indicating general direction of travel all around our garden. Then along came covid and now they're too grown. It was good fun while it lasted and has given them some good memories

I do a basket each of mine. Baskets we re-use every year.

One mid-sized egg - so the egg and one bar of chocolate.

and then 3 of the small bags of eggs - mini eggs, Kit Kat eggs, aero eggs or similar.
Plus 2 hollow Easter bunnies - this year a Kit Kat one and a dairy milk Peter rabbit.

Younger ones don't get the small bags of eggs, they have Easter chocolate coins instead and a small chocolate Easter lollipop.

For those that do egg hunts in the garden - do you get this ready the night before or in the morning?

We normally engineer for DH to take the children to the playground for a bit and 'mummy will catch you up in a minute' while I run round hiding them, then we all come back home to a big surprise. Or we do it at Grandma's house if I've been organised enough to handover the stuff in advance (we live an hour away and often visit at Easter) but I failed to do that this year 🤦🏼‍♀️. Depends on the weather too! Looks sunny in Sunday so I think I might hide them Saturday night and let them into the garden early in Sunday before they all melt!

I do a non-chocolate Easter basket, a big egg each and then small ones that are hidden in the garden and found during the hunt. This year they’ve got a new book each, watering can and seeds to plant, bubble mix, play doh, teddy, chalks.. I think that’s it 🤔 all wee nic-nacs from home bargains
