Anyone know how to book a travelodge with a dog?

We want to book one night at Stafford Travelodge later in the year. We need to book in the dog as well.

Reviews say dogs allowed, pet friendly. On trying to book it dosnt say anything about booking the dog, just people.

Do we just turn up with the dog?

Ring and book over the phone as they'll only have a few rooms that are dog-friendly.

Select the room and rate etc on the website and then you can “proceed to extras” which is where you add the dog - they charge extra.

Just follow the booking process as normal, select the rate you want to pay ( either flexi or saver I think are the options given). You then get taken to the next page which is extras, you can add pets to the room at that stage. As a side note, we often added our dog onto bookings at arrival with Travelodge and just got charged the £20 at check-in, I’m not convinced they have specific rooms for dogs as our room number was never changed when we’ve done this.

What’s the difference in pet-friendly rooms then, is there a crate or bowl inside? Or is the £20 fee for a standard room with a deep clean afterwards?

I don't think there are pet friendly rooms, just normal rooms and ability to book a pet in them.

I believe the charge is just for the extra cleaning time. I don't believe they are different rooms and there are no special facilities for dogs in the rooms we've used. Our dog has, however, always been made very welcome.

Oh wow I'd assumed pets had specific rooms.

Does anyone know if premier inn does this too? (I live pets but severe allergies mean I need to be careful and may need to tell hotels this on the feew times we use one!)

I used to have to be so careful not to have feather pillows in the room at all but our budget is usually premier inn so no feather pillows!

I've just turned up at a travelodge with my dog before. They got me to phone the central booking number rather than processing the reservation there, and then in we went!

Nothing special in the rooms, I expect the extra charge is for cleaning.

Travelodge allow you to take up to domesticated pets (cats/dogs) to any of their UK hotels. You prebook them as an extra at booking. They don’t provide any dog beds or bowls etc. This website has a decent guide covering it….https://www.bestbookdirect.com/travelodge-dog-friendly.html
