Easter Egg Hunt

Do people not do them anymore?
I’ve struggled to find small, individually foil wrapped eggs or bunnies anywhere.

There seemed to be lots of other people looking too.

A gap in the market, or did I just leave it too late?

Lidl has load later a few weeks ago!

Clymene · 07/04/2023 06:12

Too late! They've all sold out. I bought mine weeks ago

MotorwayDiva · 07/04/2023 06:28

I got some in lidl last weekend, the chocolate isn't the best but kids love them.

It's a bit late for sorting Easter stuff out.

alwayssocomplicated · 07/04/2023 06:35

We found a few in our local coop yesterday

unicornsinspace · 07/04/2023 06:36

Our Tesco had loads but everyone buys them early

Orchidflower1 · 07/04/2023 06:45

@DarkNecessities during lockdown I couldn’t get any foil covered eggs so i got a bag of the Cadbury mini eggs, put three at a time in a foil pouch and hid those- could you try that? 🐣

feliciabirthgiver · 07/04/2023 06:47

Aldi had them yesterday

Marchforward · 07/04/2023 06:48

Too late. Some supermarket sell Easter egg hunt boxes.

Itstillgoeson · 07/04/2023 06:53

Good luck - some of the local small shops/post offices may still have things like Creme Eggs.

We will also put out some sports kit, seed packets and books, to make a bigger hunt.

Stravawindow · 07/04/2023 06:59

Possibly late but but our Sainsbury’s had a few left yesterday.

I love doing an Easter egg hunt for my kids. Even when they are 16 and 14!

Needapadlockonmyfridge · 07/04/2023 07:06

Loads left in my local aldi yesterday

Startuplife · 07/04/2023 07:09

I bought refillable plastic eggs (I know but I’ll use them every year now) from Asda and put a couple of mini egg type chocolates in them. Not actual mini eggs because they’ve totally disappeared round here. It’s a bit late now though, I went back for some more on Monday and the Easter aisle was totally empty.

shakeitoffsis · 07/04/2023 07:11

Our aldi had tons yesterday. They have some on string too so you can hang them.

Redlorryyellowlorryblue · 07/04/2023 07:25

You usually have to buy them quite early but it depends where you shop.

DarkNecessities · 07/04/2023 08:05

Thanks all

I’m relieved it’s still a thing. I’ve got some bigger eggs so will use those and shop earlier next year.

if You can’t fine themed chocolate you can maybe still find other chocolate wrapped in foil?
Lindt lindor balls? Coins?

Mrsfussypants1 · 07/04/2023 19:20

Our Aldi had loads in yesterday. I just picked up an M&S percy pic egg hunt set today (£5 down to £3 using a sparks reward on the app). Comes in a patterned tin bucket, 8 nice size foil wrapped eggs and packet of percys. They also had Colin ones.

CheeseMcKnees · 07/04/2023 19:20

I got three different kinds in Waitrose.
