Can anyone remember this children's book?

I am 58 and remember a book from my childhood with a tree on the front cover with lots of twisty gnarled roots. I just can't remember the title. Can anyone identify this book and put me out of my misery?

The Magic Faraway Tree?

I don't think it was the Faraway tree although I did love that book!

I was going to say the same. It'll probably be Enid Blyton whatever it is. 😜

Can't find any pictures of it, but I remember my mum had a book about a group of kids who played on/in a tree that had been struck by lightning, I think it was just called the lightning tree?

Hollow tree house?
The enchanted wood?

I don't think it was either of these, but thanks for the suggestions!
