111 wait times

How long am I expected to wait for a call back? The guy on the phone told me it'd be an hour or so. That was three hours ago. I don't want to go to A&E unless I have to but I'm not sure I'm willing to wait this out overnight.

Context: hit my head at work today, it bled pretty bad but stopped. Now have a headache.

What have your guys' experiences been with 111 lately?

Normally it's been really quick for me but last time they called 24 hours later for a toddler who had a really high temperature and was vomiting a lot. When they called she apologies profusely. By this point we were sure it was a reaction to the MMR jab. But she did say to me if this happens again and you aren't sure, go to A&E, don't just wait for a call back.

I reckon they're are going to tell you to go to A&E, so it would be worth just going IMO.

Every time I call them for advice about my DM they send paramedics. Then I feel guilty for not just taking her to A&E.

Do you have someone who can take you?

I was hoping they were gonna get me seen at an out of hours clinic rather than A&E. I have a way to get there I'm just exhausted from a long week and ready to sleep. Not sure I have it in me to sit in a waiting room all night. The pain has subsided some so I guess I'll sleep some and hope for a call back soon.
