She's been round with her DH and DD to visit us in our new house. Had the tour she asked for.
It's a doer upper with lots of space, mature gardens, nice leafy street.
Her comments:
- You know the roots in those trees cause terrible damage (they don't we checked)
- It smells of smoke and those nicotine stains will be hard to shift (we know)
- On telling her about 1980s feature we plan to remove and what we plan to have in it's place "Oh that's the bit I like"
I mean she's entitled to her view, but surely you'd find something positive to say about the potential or the space or just how interesting it will be to see what we do with it?
I do try not to take offence at everything she says but she's definitely not doing it accidentally 😆
