I know they say 2 hours before, but ughhhh. Flying to Poland next week, 8.15 flight, we live about 2 hours from airport and no we can’t afford the hotel the night before.

2 hours before as instructed.
We once checked in just as check in was closing thanks to DH and a parking issue. One of our bags missed our flight and took 5 days to catch up with us, I swear they did it on purpose to punish us!

If you are taking hold luggage check in will open at 615am so no point being earlier than that. If just carry on luggage the gate will close at 745am so say 7am to get through security. Enjoy!

Doesn’t everyone check in 24 hours in advance / a month before depending on the airline?

baggage drop is generally open a few hours before so i get there for then

Swansandcustard · 04/04/2023 22:34

It’s a short break, we’re just taking hand luggage.

thanks all.

4 hours. The holiday starts at the airport! Duty-free, lounge etc etc. I love an early start!

I'd aim for about 3 hours before in the Easter holidays. If you can't afford the hotel you'll just have to suck up the early start I'm afraid.
