DS Has had some kind of virus for a few days. He was sick yesterday and then didn’t drink much in the evening/overnight as he refused. He had a very wet nappy this morning, had actually wet through his pjs as it was so full.

he had some milk and a bit of water this morning and some yogurt, but didn’t drink as much as usual. We were out all day and usually I change him after 2-3 hours but it wasn’t very wet so I left it and then DH didn’t change it til about half an hour ago as he didn’t realise it had been changed.

it was relatively full at the front and looked like this - it looks very dark to me? I am now getting him to drink squash to try and see if his next nappy is clear and if he wees a bit more - he seems fine in himself but has had an on off fever with the virus (had an inflamed throat at first but now this looks better).

im a bit worried about a UTI. He had one a year ago and they scanned his kidneys but all looked fine. He’s three but late to potty train, we are literally just doing it as he’s finally ready, so getting a sample is going to be tricky!

does it look dehydrated and unusually dark to you? Or could it be that it was quite full? I phoned the GP but can’t talk to anyone until tomorrow morning.

It looks like a recent wee to me, that hasn’t soaked in yet.

if he seems fine in himself then I wouldn’t worry about a UTI yet but know the symptoms

I think it was pretty recent as it went from being a bit full to very full and hanging down DH said

Thanks both. He’s been up and down for a few days and I am incredibly sleep deprived so prone to panic!

Looks similar to my little ones nappies

Emily29 · 04/04/2023 16:39

It looks fine, just what full nappies look like
