Vegetarian Cauldron sausages are back.

Apologies if this has already been posted but a lot of people were upset that they'd changed recipe but apparently the old recipe Cauldron Vegetarian sausages are back and available in Tesco.

The advert said Tesco but it looks like they might be available in other supermarkets too.

Omg this is exciting news! Did the ad you saw specifically say they had “gone back” to the old recipe? I notice they are only listing ones that say “vegetarian” on their website, but ocado and waitrose both list “vegan” versions atm. Need to rush off to Tesco to check!!!

It says original recipe.

Thank goodness. Only veg sausage I liked and couldn’t stand the vegan version.

Yes probably best to double check the packaging because they might still be selling off the old stock.

Has anyone actually managed to find these anywhere yet? I’ve tried Sainsbury’s, waitrose, Morrison’s, ocado, plus some local food shops. Don’t have a Tesco nearby but has anyone bought them there? Desperate to have these back in our lives!

I might try the cauldron ones for myself based on the positive responses here. I like their falafels but never tried the veggie sausages.

Let’s hope Tivall will be next in going back to their original recipe for vegi burgers and veggie hotdogs. Their ‘new’ hot dog recipe is tasteless and like chewing rubber. My ND DS won’t eat any others and I’m running very low on the ones I stockpiled when they announced the recipe change. Reviews online say much the same. I was hoping a drop in sales would make them reconsider but not so far. It’s also nigh on impossible to find a customer support contact for them to give feedback.

yes - last Tesco shop a fortnight ago came with 2 packs of the original sausages. Exactly how I remembered them!

Available from Waitrose and on special offer. Have added some to my next order to try. Hope they’re not ‘meaty’ as I don’t like fake meat.

@gillybean2 I know what you mean I can’t cope with that really fake ‘smokey’ flavouring they have added, it’s mainly to the ‘burgers’ I’ve had a couple in pub meals, I absolutely hate that taste I would say it’s my food hell

I used to absolutely love the Couldron pate, the tomatoey one. Spread on toast it was amazing, loved on the stuff. So sad they don't do it anymore.
