Hi. How many clothes do you bring away for 2 week holiday? Been years since we went on a sun holiday so trying to figure out how much is enough. Have an 11 yr old son so wont be going clubbing/partying all night. Wont be washing clothes over there.
Daytime: pool/beach, walking around.
Evening: dinner, few drinks in a bar, walk along the beach/strip..
14 nights in Lanzarote end of April 1st week in May.
Baggage allowance 20kg each

If no access to a washing machine, I would take five complete sets of clothes that can be worn interchangeably, including one pair of warmer trousers, two long sleeve tops and one jumper;
waterproof jacket;
walking shoes (ideally waterproof too);
flip flops; and
one other pair of shoes.

With access to a washing machine, we take three complete sets plus the jackets and shoes combination.

I usually pack enough to last me about 4 months, but always forget enough underwear! 😂

Always less than you think. Two swimsuits , and a throw over dress I just wear light summer dresses for night Flip flops and sandles for night

And a light jacket

If you've got a 20 kg luggage allowance you may as well use it . I can understand packing light to use cabin bags and save money but I don't see the point in reducing what you take if you have the allowance . Just leave a bit of space and weight allowance in case you want to buy anything on holiday.

I going away for 7 days and am taking

It's cheaper to get a laundry service, if you can. Google local laundry services near where you're staying and get them to pick up and drop off. We do this where we can as it's cheaper than buying the extra luggage and paying for the suitcases.

Of course it won't work as well on islands or on a cruise but we are in Europe and 15kg washed dried, folded, collected and delivered is 30E

Ahh. Didn't see lanzarote. Have a Google.

14 dresses for night
14 day/breakfast outfits
7 swimwear
3 or 4 day shoes
3 or four night shoes

I don't travel light and I don't want to wear things more than once. We usually go abroad for most of the summer I always make sure at some point I've got access to laundry facilities.

I take a top per day and 2-3 more
3-4 pair of shorts
no dresses/skirts for me
2 long trousers (it can still get fresh in the evening)
2-3 long sleeve tops
1-2 jumper/cardigan/hoody
light jacket
Sandals
flip flops/birkenstock or what you like to wear around the pool
comfortable shoes for walking around
2 swimsuits
as many knickers as there are days you stay
bras are the only things I do handwash
