Ideas for 12th birthday gifts DD

Shinyandnew2022 · 04/04/2023 10:05

Hi all just wondering if anyone has any genius ideas to surprise my
DD with on her upcoming birthday ?

So far she has trainers and squishmallows !

I am hoping to do a bit of a bedroom makeover at some point so not going too mad on extra gifts but it's always lovely to get ideas of things she would love but doesn't know to ask for .

Thanks

What are some of her hobbies? If she's into creating something, you can get her art supplies or kits. If she creates digital content, then a simple video editor like Clipify or a beginner friendly photo editing program like Photoworks would be good gifts.

Does she follow any artists, maybe she would love something from their merch store? Like a tshirt or a necklace, etc?

Maybe things to decorate her room with, you can make a wall calendar poster with her favorite artist or a framed collage of their pictures.
Led lights or a lava lamp are also good for decor.

Colorful washable hair sprays or glitter masks are always a good option with tweens, if she's not allergic. Lip balms, light fragrance, etc

Books
more grown-up jewellery
tickets for a show
zoo experience, young driver lesson, baking/cooking workshop
Anything related to a hobby

We did DD's room when she was that age and while it wasn't her actual present, she asked for some things like more fluffy blankets, cushions, pictures for the wall.

My 12 yo dd asked for crocs for her birthday

Skin care (drunk elephant, but also any brand that looks cute)
Lipglosses
Benefit brow gel
Juicy couture sets
Victoria secret hoodie
Crystals
Bracelet making stuff (clay beads or crystals)
Vivienne westwood earrings
Pandora princess ring
A mirror with lights
Curling tongs

My 12yo DD loves:
Posca pens
Quality art materials (good paper, nice pencils, etc)
her Nintendo Switch
hoodies
book tokens so she can choose her own books
tickets to shows.

But mostly it’s Posca pens…

DD (11) loves her AirPods. Other hits at Christmas were a waffle maker and posca pens. She’s now desperate for an Air Up bottle.

Zola1 · 05/04/2023 18:18

Oh yeah, air pods, air up, lush bath stuff, Maui shampoo and conditioner, a ring light, satin pillowcases, laptop.. all popular items here

Shinyandnew2022 · 05/04/2023 21:51

Thanks so much everyone these are great and definitely along the right lines - she loves Posca pens and hoodies ! She got AirPods ( not Apple just cheap things !) at Christmas and absolutely loves them !

Waffle maker and denim jacket are being investigated!

She loves arty stuff but not kits - digital art might be a good idea.

She would like new roller skates but they don't actually get used much!

Thanks all

It makes me realise how lucky she is as several of the brilliant ideas are things she already has!

3D pen never been used !
Polaroid camera - I managed to break it.
Cards against
Humanity we have too

I've just bought this for my DD after reading a different thread on MN. Looks lovely and the reviews are really good. Half price at the moment and the link gave me an extra discount.
