Slim fit school summer dress?

Does anyone know where sells slim fit school summer dresses, or at least brands that are more slim fitting?

DD is 8 and a bit on the tall side but very narrow. She wears age 9 longer length leggings, age 9 slim fit school shirts. I’m struggling to get her a school summer dress this year as they are either so wide they look ridiculous, or so short they are not really wearable. I’ve tried to convince her to wear one with a tie belt, but she’s really not keen.

Google isn’t helping me out, any ideas, oh wise mumsnetters?!

My DD is quite slim and I have always bought her the sporty fit dresses from either Asda or Sainsburys. Some of them have a dropped hem and some have a straight skirt, so less material than a pleated one. They aren't specifically slim fit though, so might still be too wide if you are needing to size up for height.

Sainsbury’s do some tie waist ones which work well for my tall but slim DD.

Sainsburys are definitely worth a look. DD is slim and I've always got her the zip up style from there as the other type looked like sacks on her.

The zip front dresses are best for tall slim children as they tend to have a drop waist which works better.

Also next have a lovely tiered dress currently which seems to be a better length for tall children.

I work in a school and have found many of the taller slim pupils also have the play suits which zip up and they seem to work well for them length wise.

Think most of our parents buy from supermarkets but there's such a lovely range now compared to when we were at school!
