On my babies face ? Not sure how they'd have got it either as older dc don't have it...
baby does have eczema but it's that top mark that's bothering me as it looks kind of blistery
Any ideas ?
Btw I am taking baby to the docs tomorrow if I can get them in just thought I'd post and ask Mumsnet in the meantime

whatsthisrash · 03/04/2023 17:27

@BeLuckyy ah thank you.

It's very patchy, doesn't seem to be bothering her but has been coming up slowly over the last few days, is that what impetigo does ??

My son’s impetigo tends to come up in one patch that gets worse/spreads over a day or two until treatment stops it spreading. The blistery bit looks borderline impetigo. Get it checked out straight away just in case, as it can scar and be a pain to heal if it takes hold. And once you’ve caught it once it keeps coming back, so get really hot on treating it asap. If it’s impetigo it needs prescription cream/antibiotics.

on the basis that it’s come up in lots of small patches and is spreading slowly it might be something different.

I would say it could be. My son had it. Cleared up fine but I can't remember what we got for it. Use separate towels etc. Very cute baby. :-)

So cute!! But yea check hands and feet for tiny blisters, my DS had hand foot and mouth that looked a bit like this, stayed happy and chilled, teeny temp but otherwise no symptoms

Thank you everyone. I haven't seen anymore on her anywhere else, she does have eczema and a sore chin, babies have no neck do they so it's always soaked under there 😆 I just don't know where she would get impetigo from !!

Bed linen, shared toys. A kiss, the soil. So many ways to catch it
