Just a reminder that Ken Bruce is back on the radio today at 10.30 on Greatest Hits radio!

I listened. He was on from 10:00hrs with Pop Master at 10:30hrs. I also enjoyed the "top ten before Ken".
Great to hear him again.

I tried, and tbf it was lovely to hear Ken again, but I cant cope with the adverts.

It also sounded all wrong and I bet he was so close to saying all the things he used to on R2 instead of the slightly altered GH version eg the different prizes on Popmaster.

As a devotee of GHR, I'm amused by all the people complaining about the adverts - you don't even notice them after a while. Better than all the in-jokes on the BBC channels which you won't understand unless you listen every single morning in full.

i just turn it down if i dont like the song and/or the adverts.

I've got it playing now whilst I work, it's brilliant, so is Ken, and tbh, the ads are no worse than the continuous self serving BBC ads.

I've signed up to the free 30 day trial to get GHR ad free and can highly recommend but only works if you listen through the app or on a smart speaker (I listen via Alexa)

i wonder what is playing for you when i hear the ads?

I got the premium version and it was awful. I can live without popmaster tbh.

@Crumpetdisappointment you hear an extra bonus track rather than adverts and when my free trial is up I will definitely be paying the less than a quid a week for the ad free version.

I'm quite new to GHR (not just because of KB! I started listening to it at the start of the year) and love the music they play :)

I want to go on Pop Master but think I'd be too nervous and get a rubbish score (I'm very good playing at home with somebody else's questions though!).

I'm listening, I've subscribed to premium as I can't stand ads. It's lovely to have Ken back, but goodness, the music is boring! They're all tracks I like, but there's nothing new or interesting, just old classics. I liked being introduced to new artists, I didn't like all of them, but I felt vaguely up to date.

I'm not missing the dreadful Ritchie though! Or the self serving BBC adverts. I do miss Ken gently winding Jeremy Vine up though.

and indeed, the music was rather dull.
