Trousers for skinny DS13

I am really struggling to find trousers for skinny DS 13 who, judging by the fridge raiding, is in the middle of a growth spurt.
He won't wear jeans and he needs something other than joggers.
Bought a pr from Sainsburys which just fit in length-for now! He is about 5ft 4 at the moment. Too skinny/small for mens yet.
Help!

Try brands that sell xs or xxs sizes and different lengths - we had success with brands like Hollister and Jack Wills (sign up for sales and offers as they are quite expensive but the quality is ok). Zara, H&M.

Hadn't thought of Zara. Thanks
He really isnt into brands, and still wrecks them doing outdoor stuff so don't want to spend too much. Plus at the rate he is going they won't fit in length for long!

M&S go up to age 16 and H&M go up to size age 14+

DS went from a 12 to a men's 26 or 28 as the 14 was too wide. I bought them second hand, brands that cater to teens usually do them. It can be difficult at that in-between age when they are shooting up but a men's 30 available in the supermarket is much too big.

Look for men's trousers using waist size rather than age. My ds never filled those!
We used to get his from Topman but I think they've closed down.

H&M for us. Its the adjustable waist that makes it our go to.
24 inch waist...... 5'6. He's getting used to cold ankles!
School trousers from M&S. Down size on age, and go for extra long.

H&m do some very slim fitting stuff and Primark can come up narrow too. You could also try Next, I'm not sure about casual trousers but their school ones have adjustable waists. I always had this problem with my DS too.
I agree with other posters that you could try men's trousers, something like a 28 waist short leg.

Yes yes to h and m. Their adjustable waists are great. My son is extremely slim (is now 17 and over 6ft but with a 26” waist) and he still just fits some h and m age 14+ ones.

I set up a search on ASOS for waist 26” leg. 34 and it is slim pickings but with a shorter leg there’ll be more choice.

gap are also good as adjustable waist and I really liked Landsend - in the sale as quite expensive but v good quality
