My favourite glass broke!

This is so trivial but I have some sensory issues and I have one singular glass that I drink out of. It was the perfect size, had the right thinness to it, I’m gutted!

please tell me about the small things like this you have broken but have managed to find a replacement for to make me feel better! Tomorrow I’ll be on the hunt for a replacement😂

Not trivial. We only have 3 bowls left that I can eat breakfast out of, we used to have 8. I’m searching trying to line up replacements but having no luck 😂

I had a special Paddington Bear dish - had it since I was a little girl (so 40 plus years). My DD broke it and I was really sad about it. Managed to find the same one on eBay for about £14 though - hopefully your glass will be the same?

Things you eat or drink out of I think are the worst because they’re something you use every day.. the food or drink doesn’t taste the same in something else!

I have some of my ex's parents wedding Denby from the 70s. I love the bowls & forks & found some on eBay. I was delighted

Try charity shops for a replacement, they always have a wide selection of glasses.

My breakage story - my husband broke a statue I loved by using it to drape some washing over 😭Not replaceable (antique) and smashed to smithereens in parts so impossible to repair.

Imagine my difficulty in refraining from killing him.

can relate.I get upset about things like this too. I recently cracked a bowl I'd had for 20 years which I'd brought back from a holiday in the USA and I know I'd never find a replacement feel gutted. do you have a photo of the glass or good description someone on here may have one they could donate or we could help you find a replacement online.

I know the feeling I have one fork that I can use and I live in fear that it gets lost one day 😬 I wouldn't know where to find another one

Antiques arcades often have lots of assorted old cutlery, mostly very cheap (and far better quality than cheap new cutlery).

It’s not a uniquely shaped glass so I am 100% confident it won’t be hard to replace. It just won’t have the same picture and it won’t be the same.. but sensory wise the replacement will do! I’m just very particular about these things. (drip feeds that my SENCO relative things I have undiagnosed autism) 😂

I now buy random mugs that I like the look of, just so I have options when my current favourite does break. Cos they always do.
