Fit of Brownie Uniform V Rainbows Uniform?

How does the sizing of the Rainbows uniform match up to the Brownies?

My 7 year old is currently in a L Rainbows polo. It’s wide and long on her but was bought to last. She defo doesn’t need it to be any bigger.

On the site size guide the Rainbow polo
shirt is labelled L(28) so I assumed the Brownie listed 28 would be the same measurements. Nope! They are listed as being smaller. What’s up with that?

Those who’ve had girls move up recently - Does the Brownie uniform come up smaller so should I size up to a 30 to get a similar fit to the Rainbow L?

The leggings for the brownies uniform come up really big, they are very generous around the butt and waist, we went down 2 sizes on their recommendation. DD usually wears clothes in 11-12 now but we got her the 24" which they list as 9-10 and they have a bit of room to grow.

Oh crikey @FatAgainItsLettuceTime that adds a whole other dimension! I hadn’t factored in bottoms - hoping to get away with just a t shirt, hoodie and sash. Annoying there’s nothing in 28 or 30 in stock on the nearest shop so it’s online only. Why don’t they make it easy?

At our group, they can just get the hoodie to start, they all sew their badges to the hoodie, once they do their promise they are supposed to wear full uniform. DD has leggings, hoodie, tshirt and baseball cap. None of them seem to wear the sash.

Hoodie and tshirt we went with the bigger size because it doesn't matter as much if they're a bit baggy but didn't want her leggings ending up round her ankles when she was running around 😂

You'll need to get leggings/trousers/skort thingy for the days when they are expected to have full uniform.
You might find your local Brownie unit has some second hand items you can have/buy.
