Crazy flight prices

Has anyone else found flights for this summer holidays crazy expensive? I know that August is £££ but £500 return for a budget airline flight from London to Crete is crazy and that’s without bags.

I priced up BA for comparison and I can fly to the US for £100 less than I can Heraklion.

Maybe it’ll be another year of driving to France!

Unfortunately all flights have absolutely rocketed.

Is this a temporary thing? Or am I living in cloud cuckoo land hoping they might drop once energy prices fall

We haven't been away in the school holidays for a few years but we were paying £ 350+ to Lanzarote 10 years ago.
