Can you help me work out reduced hours.

I currently work 35 hours a week. 9-5 with an hour for lunch over 5 days.

I am considering asking if I can do a 9 day fortnight. So 70 hours over 9 working days. That equates to 7.7 hours a day. I cannot for the life of me work out how many minutes the .7 are? Can anyone help at all? I need to then look at shorter lunch or earlier/later starts. Easier when I know what hours I need to work. Then I can look at annual leave. Thank you.

0.7 of an hour in minutes = 0.7 x 60 = 42 minutes

So you would need to work (say) 8:45 to just before 5:30 on the days you work, with an hour for lunch. Or some other pattern that gives you 7 hours and 42 minutes a day.

I just checked, and the original sum (70 hours over 9 days) is actually more like 7.7777 hours a day, or 7 hours and 47 minutes. Still around 7 hrs and 45 minutes. Just so you know. I have no idea how much difference that would make to the application!
