Sorry if this is a weird question but..
moved into this house a year ago , put raised beds in the garden. Had some stuff growing etc. just been out to tidy them up ready for this summer and lay on the top are 2 bones. Google tells me they are the upper and lower jaw bones of a sheep.
would a cat leave them there ? I don’t under how they have got there !

What kind of area do you live in?

Elasticatedwaist · 02/04/2023 13:53

We are semi rural. There are a few farms around us. The back garden with the planters has a field behind it and we have a garden and some houses at the front.

The land probably used to be farming. Good job it wasn't human bones!

We found cow bones while moving the old greenhouse and compost heap. Your have probably been there for years and ground has been disturbed and they have sort of surfaced.

It struck me as odd that they were just on top of the raised bed. I filled it with compost and planted it up last year and there was definitely no bones then !
