Good Morning All (just)! What's everyone up to today?

I did look to see if anyone's started a thread this morning but couldn't see one.

I've had an epic lie in & feel a bit better for it. I'm just drinking my first cuppa now. Dd2's already up, and I'm reasonably sure dd1 stayed up watching streams of TS' Eras Tour so won't be up for a while. She might surprise me though.

I have very few plans at all for the day, again! I'll do some washing but someone else can do the washing up.

I spent a lot of yesterday trying to match the gauge for the crochet top I want to make myself, with various sized hooks, with no joy. So I might try again with that, or I might continue with the next round of my blanket.

Dd2 has been 'decluttering' her bedroom & says she's going to carry on today...to the untrained eye, it looks suspiciously like the random stuff has just been moved to different spots 🤣 She's cleaning as she goes though so I'm keeping my mouth shut!

There's gammon defrosted for tea. We'll do it with chips and beans. I might nip out for a tin of soup though, in case I don't fancy it later. & there is a HUGE broccoli to use so I'll get dd1 to turn it into the base of the cauli/broc cheese soup she likes, then we can freeze & add the cream and cheese as we want it.

What about all of you? 🙂

Morning! Well…pm but I also had an epic lie in! Work has been mad lately and I’ve been exhausted.

Woke up to find my very fluffy cat had done a poo soft enough to leave little in the litter tray but lots in her fur, so that was a fun morning!

I have a bit of cleaning to do and lots of work so will sadly be doing that all day. I do need to pop to Aldi at some point though!

Will reward myself with a film tonight!

Have a lovely day all

DS and DH just back from football match.

Im off out to a skin consultation and probably pick up dinner from Cook.

Been hanging with the other 2 kids this morning - duplo, play Post Office, colouring - and I did a bit of crochet.

CrapBucket · 02/04/2023 12:17

Ah this lovely thread, just in the nick of time to make me plan my day!

I’ve been to church for the first time since lockdown 1, I’ve got to get ready for a job interview, and I need a good rest - but I also need to think of something nice to do and something nice to eat. Cheesy broccoli soup sounds amazing.

And I have put my bedding in the washer as I’m terrible at changing my sheets compared to making sure everyone else has clean laundry.

Happy Sunday

Afternoon! Also had a bit of a lie in, well til 9. One load of washing done, dog been walked, sausages cooked for everyone to pick at as DH and DS x2 all at various stages of waking up, then opening fridge , staring in, drinking all the fresh orange grrrr!
Some gardening , sorting pots and the grass is in a bad way. Roast pork and trimmings later, with some wine and getting prepared for another week.

Purplecatshopaholic · 02/04/2023 12:18

Hi all. Football is on here, so DP is watching that, and me and one of the dogs are lounging with him - I’m on my iPad. Taking dogs out again later. Relaxed day hopefully. I hope everyone is well and having a lovely Sunday

WhatFreshHeckle · 02/04/2023 12:20

I'm in full holiday mode ATM. I've been to yoga class. DH has taken DCs to their grandparents today and I'm going to do some cleaning and go for a walk. Looking forward to a movie and glass of wine later

Hi everyone. Yet another slow morning here (I drank a little bit too much wine last night so have been a bit fuzzy headed this morning!).

We’ve no concrete plans for today, dd15 slept at a friend’s house last night so we’ll need to pick her up at some point, dd18 has her driving lesson in just over half an hour, dd8 is playing out and dh and I are both still in pjs on the sofa.

We’ll have to get off our backsides soon though as the house and garden need sorting. I plan on taking advantage of all the dc being out of the house to deep clean their bedrooms - they usually do their own but not to my standards so I’ll get it done as a nice surprise for them. So, dh and I will spend the afternoon doing all the household jobs, make sausage, mash, veg and gravy for tea then relax in front of the tv tonight.

MeMyBooksAndMyCats · 02/04/2023 12:29

Another slow day as ds7 pancreas decided it wanted to start working alongside his insulin and keeps insanely tanking his numbers. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Do need to clean the house & cook a roast though. Might pick up my kindle for the first time in weeks. Grin

Greaterthanthesumoftheparts · 02/04/2023 12:30

We got up at 8 to watch the Grand Prix on catch up (which was good as we could fast forward through all the red flags). We then cycled up to DS school so he could cycle around with his friend and play football and tennis.

now we’re back and watching a movie, the one with the racing snail. A lazy afternoon awaits, I might do some knitting or cross stitch or have a nap.

Greensleevevssnotnose · 02/04/2023 12:32

Laid in till 9 food shop just matched all the socks up. Having a cuppa and will them make the bed might get dressed. Need to cook a roast but we don't eat till 6 so doesn't need to go on till 4:30. Easy day

Beenhereageskeepchangingname · 02/04/2023 12:48

Well we got up early and went to a car boot .

I bought a book for 50p and I have read it already - feeling more like my old self !

hung some washing on the line , put some tunes on and and going to peel some potatoes for tea ,

hubby has taken the kids to his sisters as he’s fixing something at her house. I suggested that they take some lunch with them so silence is reigning here .

driving to the coast tomorrow to see my mum for the night .

but going to enjoy the holidays, nicer weather ect . This term in school has felt very long .

absolutely no money , but cupboards are full and I’m going to enjoy the rest !

ohhh and put batteries in three clocks in the house !

Simonjt · 02/04/2023 14:12

I’m pleased you’re feeling a little better @lucysmam

We’ve been for a nice long walk this morning with the dog, then we went on a little boat tour, the wind meant it was very cold. We’re having a lazy evening as we’re all tired from our travels.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 02/04/2023 14:28

Glad you’re feeling a bit better, @lucysmam.
We’re having a lazy day here after a busy one yesterday.
We’ve just had veggie spag bol, bulked out with chickpeas, for extra virtue - DD diligently picked out every one.
DD’s now getting muddy in the garden, in a fresh pair of pyjamas,
chosen specially for the occasion.
I’ve got a cup of tea and slight regret at breaking my exemplary diet of the past week with some chocolate biscuits.
This evening, we’ll probably have crackers and fruit once DD’s in bed and I’ll continue down the YouTube rabbit hole of ballet videos that I’ve become obsessed with.

lucysmam · 02/04/2023 16:28

@Beenhereageskeepchangingname it has indeed been a very long term, even though the next one is longer. Somehow it's not so bad when the weather's nicer. Enjoy the break 🙂

@Simonjt & @SomethingNastyInTheBallPool thank you both, I've just had a shower & put on fresh pj's, and I feel a million times better now! And...I'm hungry 😱 so may risk a slice of gammon and few chips with an egg for tea.
