I had ankle surgery on Thursday and I am non weight-bearing for 4 weeks… which is going to give me a lot of time to watch TV and read books. Looking for some recommendations please for shows / movies / books / documentaries / series etc on

Netflix
Amazon
Sky
BBC
ITV
Now TV

anything! And books as well..

I am open to absolutely anything as I have a lot of time just lying with my leg elevated!

I haven’t actually seen a lot of classic series (LOTR, GoT, 24 hours) so maybe I should start with them

Love your three suggestions. Would add West Wing.

Book wise, the Cazalet series and Mary Stewart's Merlin books (starting with the Crystal Cave).

@ElegantlyTouched I’ve also never read Harry Potter either… so maybe I should try that too!!

Read Arthur Hailey's books. They're dated now but immensely entertaining and enjoyable. 'Hotel' is brilliant.

I can't get on with GoT the tv series but loved the books. Im reading a good book at the moment called The Favour. Im also enjoying watching The Crown at the moment. Also good are Happy Valley and The Affair.
