If someone can work out what this book/autobiography is I would be very grateful as it’s driving me mad!
I seem to remember reading it 3-4 years ago and I have a feeling it’s an autobiography. I’m sure the premise was about a young girl living with her parents in a poor and chaotic household (I think it was set in the 60s-70s). The mother died (?) and the father took the children and moved in with a woman who was horrible to them. There was definitely abuse and neglect. The only names I can remember were Carol and Christopher. I think the stepmother then had more children - I think there 8 in all. I think there were possibly twin babies also.
That’s not a lot to go on is it! If anyone knows it, please help put this woman out of her misery!
