Gastro pub with rooms

Hello! I'm after recommendations for a lovely gastro pub type of place with rooms to stay for a couple of nights, within 2 hours of Newcastle. Ideally with some lovely days out nearby.

We stayed at the Lambton Worm in Chester-le-Street a while back. Food was fab and local, room great. Near Beamish for a day out.

Very strange coincidence but my mum's very first job was there! I'll have a look, thank you.

Don't know whether Derbyshire is too far, but the Devonshire Arms pubs on the Chatsworth estate are gorgeous.

Well, technically Sheffield, but right on the edge of the Peak District.
