DD 5 appetite gone following norovirus

DD has had what I assume was norovirus. She was sick 20 times on Tuesday night. Sick again after she tried to eat Wednesday lunchtime. Sick after 15ml of Dioralyte on Thursday morning, yesterday. After that though she perked up and yesterday had toast and banana for lunch, chicken rice and carrot for dinner, was hungry at bedtime so had a slice of toast.

Today was enthusiastic about breakfast and had a bowl of cereal and slice of toast, but at lunchtime rejected the food (a plain soup she likes and white roll with butter) and is saying she doesn't want dinner.

This is highly unusual for her. She usually loves food.

She's drinking loads but not weeing often but when she does the colour isn't concerning as it's not dark.

Is this all to be expected?

Yes norovirus lingers long

Yes, loss of appetite can last afew days after a bug.
Most adults are the same.

Hope she feels better soon.

Yes just keep the fluids up and be guided by her on what she feels like eating and when

It’s normal OP, plain foods are best or whatever she fancies the most to eat! Bodies are good at telling you what you need. So long as she’s drinking water. They actually recommend a BRAT diet after sickness (if you read up on it, I know it’s plain foods but can’t remember what the letters stand for)
