Ice looking pieces of "rubber" in baby's diaper

I've never seen these before. What is this?

It look like ice, is cold but has the texture of rubber. Some was coming out of his diaper (pee area)

Should I call 111?

It's the inside of the nappy

NoUseNumber31 · 30/03/2023 21:08

It's just the inside of the nappy, the absorbent bits.
I found this out when chucking a dirty nappy down the stairs for the bin and it exploded everywhere Envy

Moopyhereagain · 30/03/2023 21:09

Likely the crystals from inside the nappy? Tear into a ‘full’ one the stuff that absorbs the pee looks like this so nothing to worry about I would say?

Meem321 · 30/03/2023 21:09

When the baby pees , the pee is crystalized into gel. The nappy has obviously split. Give the child a wash. No need for 111

Agree with the above. Exploding nappy.

Thank you all so much for your replies.
I am relieved

Don't feel bad, I properly freaked out the first time this happened to me!

If you ever accidentally put one in the washing machine this stuff will be all over you forever 🤠
