I have post traumatic osteoarthritis in left ankle from old sprains and a fracture.
Saw the consultant on Tuesday. am terrified. Going to have TTC ankle fusion and subtalar fusion. I live up 52 stairs. I do not want to move or give up flat.
Am a 75 year old grandmother. I have been having panic attacks since I was told I need the operation. Either that or I risk losing my valued indepenence forever.
I am prepared for long recovery. Can stay with my son. Anyone out there can help an aged grandmother with advice on TTC ankle fusion and subtalar fusion. Lost my darling daughter some years ago to suicide. I still enjoy lots of activities.
