What are you doing over the Easter holidays with dc?

My DC are 16 and 14 so we will do a shopping trip and out for a meal, DD1 will be revising for GCSE's so we won't do much or go far. I will be working a fair bit too.

SamanthaR1 · 29/03/2023 17:15

My DC love visiting their grandparents. It's like a tradition, we just have to visit them. Sometimes we also do go outside of the city to have some family time but I don't know about this year, my DD is revising for GCSE's and she plans to attend free GCSE mock simulations entire holidays.

F all. I will be at work they will be looking after themselves. I will probably have to spend a fortune on snacks.

Soontobemumof2x · 29/03/2023 17:17

Visiting family in Pitlochry with our in-laws over the Easter weekend. SIL & DD1 too & 5 months pregnant so didn’t want to travel too far!

What about you OP? X

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 29/03/2023 17:50

DS (13) is going on Easter camp with CCF and DH and I are working.

HelpMeGetThrough · 29/03/2023 17:53

At 16 and 21, absolutely nothing. It's on them to sort themselves out.

hopeishere · 29/03/2023 17:56

DS is on a school trip getting back Easter Sunday. I'm off Monday- Wednesday but he says he has to revise. Dog's booked in for a groom. We went away to the Cotswolds last year so missing doing that this year!

Nottodaty · 29/03/2023 17:56

I’m working. 13 year old will no doubt spend far too much time on screens! But we have a few activities planned for weekends - dog walking beach, etc

WafflingDreamer · 29/03/2023 17:57

Mine are 7, 6 and 2. The older 2 are booked on a daily swimming crash course for the first week, we have a trip to the farm to feed Lambs and an Easter egg hunt at a NT property booked for the second week

glasshole · 29/03/2023 17:57

I'm hoping to take my DGS to the local play farm to feed the lambs and go on a tractor ride. Possibly go to the local play centre for a few hours the following day.

Onceuponatime56 · 29/03/2023 17:59

A couple of local Easter trails - one is National trust. A day out to the farm plus a couple of friends play dates at home.

We will also visit several parks and go swimming too.

CoodleMoodle · 29/03/2023 18:00

First week we're at home - we've got guests coming for a couple of days, a day with just me and the DC (probably library and haircuts) and then DH is taking a day off and we're going swimming. Bank Holiday weekend we've got more guests coming on Friday, a community egg hunt on Saturday.

DC and I are travelling to DM's on Easter Sunday for the second week.

We'll probably go to the farm, another swim, maybe a museum or two, and see one of my friends from back home.

bobby81 · 29/03/2023 18:00

DD is horse riding every day for the first week then we're going to the Cotswolds for a little break in the second week. Family meal, trip to the zoo, shopping & dog walking all planned. Some of it will be weather dependent!

GreenLeavesRustling · 29/03/2023 18:01

Trip to London to the Natural History museum, spending some time with my bestie too and her kids which we always love.
Spending some time with their cousins
Easter, big lunch at home with the grandparents, will also do an Easter egg hunt even though two of them are teens now…
Then the 8 year old is booked into an outdoor activities camp for three days. The bigger two and I will do a day of surfing and probably they will chill out the last couple of days as I will be back WFH

BestWorkOfArt · 29/03/2023 18:04

Ours are teens but we have a few things planned. We’re going to the theatre this weekend, a meal with friends and their kids next week and a long weekend away. Other than that they’ll sleep, game, go out with friends and oldest will be revising. And eating Easter eggs.

Brewskipa · 29/03/2023 18:04

I’ve managed to book the whole two weeks off and I’m so excited! A couple of national trust trails, a wildlife park, two respite sessions, lots of swimming and trampolining and a couple of farm visits!

ourflagmeansdeath · 29/03/2023 18:06

We'll all be visiting family in India for the whole time. It'll be a big change of weather so mentally preparing ourselves!!! Lots of travelling there too as DH's family live quite far from my family in India.

Also seeing Dubai which I'm very excited for 😊DH has gone and said it's really beautiful.

I went to Cotswold last year! It's lovely there, beautiful villages. 😊

reluctantbrit · 29/03/2023 18:44

Easter itself we will be in Prague.

Otherwise DD is sitting GCSEs this year so she will be revising incl. extra sessions from the school.

ThreeRingCircus · 29/03/2023 19:01

For the first week DD1 is at a holiday club and DD2 is at nursery. For the second week we're away on holiday....just a caravan in Norfolk but I can't flippin wait!

Purpleskies46 · 30/03/2023 21:58

Thanks, we are looking at a few days out here and there.
