Dd had an Ella kitchen pouch, now has this rash around her mouth, not sure if it was there before I'm sure it wasn't !
She has a milk allergy so I'm abit worried she's reacted to something
She is 6 months
Does this look like an allergy rash ?

I can't see a photo
What flavour pouch was it?
My son would get rashes round his mouth from tomato based products

dementedpixie · 29/03/2023 14:13

I don't see a picture either
What were the ingredients of the pouch?

foodalrash · 29/03/2023 14:20

Sorry would help wouldn't it !
It was sweet potato, pumpkin apple and blueberries

It's on her chest aswell

If it's spreading to her chest, yes it definitely could be.

Do you have any piriton at home? If so give 2.5ml and if it goes within 15 mins it's definitely a reaction.

Can you post the pouch ingredients?

MaverickSnoopy · 29/03/2023 14:26

How soon did it come up after eating?

It doesn't look like the rash my dd when she had milk allergy. Doesn't mean it isn't. Try some piriton and see what happens.

foodalrash · 29/03/2023 14:27

I don't have any piriton unfortunately !

It won't let me post anymore pics
But they say :
organic apples 52%
Organic sweet potatoes 23%
Organic pumpkins 20%
Organic blueberries 5%
Organic lemon juice concentrate (a dash)
So basically nothing in them really !
She does have cmpa if that's relevant (not sure if I've already said that )

It came up within a few mins, by the time I'd wiped her mouth it was there

DS used to get two rage, the allergy rash was generalised redness with white dots (like nettle rash) then this type of rash which was from the foods physically getting in his skin, which wasn’t allergy just irritation.

Did the good touch where she’s red?

foodalrash · 29/03/2023 14:31

Yes apart from her chest, it was just around her mouth

It could be a mild reaction, but try not to worry. Keep some piriton handy and start a list to see if anything else causes a rash and can be linked together.

My wee boy gets a rash round his mouth from ketchup, but it goes away on its own. Think it's the acidity.

dementedpixie · 29/03/2023 15:34

Piriton is for age 1+ so would need to be prescribed for a child under 1.
