How do I navigate this interview question?

I’ve just accepted voluntary redundancy from the NHS and have just got an interview with the Civil Service (yay) It’s a similar role but obviously, a completely different organisation. What would you say if you were asked ‘why are you leaving the NHS’ I’m thinking more of focusing more on why I’m joining the CS but not sure if that’s a cop out. Would you mention the redundancy? It’s not my fault, my organisation is getting rid of 40% of its headcount.

Thanks.

Sounds good to me, keep it short and sweet. I suppose if I blabber on too much then maybe I won’t sound confident in my decision. God I’m nervous, there’s a lot riding on this!!
